Callan Crystalsoar is the name of a Holy Knight who operates under the Order in Gadencia. An established Dragon Knight, he alongside his dragon Golz were sent to investigate rumors of corrupt misapplication of power in the city state of Isi Aethel.
Finding ample signs of embezzlement and corruption, the Association was sent out to remedy the situation, specifically by selecting the finest auditors in Gadencia. However, this isn't where Callan's story with Isi Aethel ends, for during his time traveling the city, he discovered his future lover Alanis Eillamin sleeping alone against a great oak tree in her father's garden.
Immediately falling heads over heels, he proposed to her on the spot, to which she adamantly refused his offer. He would return to the city several times over the next few months, proposing each time (and of course, eventually finding out of her heritage, which failed to dampen his resolve). Eventually, she accepted, and they agreed to elope together at the strike of dawn.
