The Lord of the Great Flame is as confident as he is brash. The embers of his presence can be sensed from miles away, as the Spirit of the Great Flame sway with his arrival. As the Arisen who guards the secrets of the Elemental Plane of Fire, it is through Kaen's guidance that pyromancers channel their spiritual energies.
The Great Flame takes many forms; sometimes that form is sentient, while others it becomes as impossible to decipher as the Old Deus themselves. The breath of the wild's creations can be sensed through the kindling of the flame: elephants, gorillas, owls, deer, and alligators all draw the inspiration of their birth through the Great Flame, and as such, the Great Flame holds the power to manipulate their forms and become them through a skilled practitioner.
The flame is also an object of worship for several races, such as the Firenewts and the Flameveil. Many of those who worship Kaen only pray to him for the continued kindling of the Great Flame, as it is the Great Flame itself they truly venerate.
Kaen has been known to select Adventurers to train and take up the mantle of the flame's sacred guardians: the Crimson Guard.
Depiction
Kaen's depictions are mostly accurate representations of his true self: arrogant, brash, yet surprisingly wise and self-aware. Taking the form of a young teenager dressed in an edo-period style that hearkens back to the early days of Yonia, wisps of flames can always be seen emerging from his body, as if he were a Flameveil.
It is said he is acquaintances with the Greater Deity, Helknight, and serves as one of the disconnected deities of his court.
