The Arisen who represents the sword stands as the governing figure to warriors bound by oath. A prayer in her honor is uttered across every nation when bestowing the honor of knighthood, and her charismatic speeches are said to be infectious, bolstering her followers resolve and leading them to triumph on the battlefield.

Revered by those who face danger to bring about a greater good. Those who favor Mistel believe that one's salvation can be found through service. Those who take Mistel to heart must strive to fulfill her commandment to go out into the world and be an active force for good, to right wrongs, and to help the hopeless. They must strive to maintain peace and order while opposing unjust laws.

Followers of Mistel stand ever alert against corruption, and are expected to strike quickly and hard against any evidence of rot in the hearts of mortals. She is particularly honored by female warriors, such as the Valkyrie and the Honoraries, as her presence in the Adamantis court showcase that a woman's potential is just as great if not greater than a man's.

Most temples dedicated to Mistel are fortresses built on heights. These structures offer austere quarters for residents and visiting knights, drilling grounds, and stables. Stone brick grounded in realism, lion statues (Mistel's favorite animal), and armored figures predominate in the architecture, with the coats of arms of fallen heroes decorating the walls of the great halls.

Her symbol is that of the holy maiden, a story passed down through the generations about a female Holy Knight who strove to end corruption within the Order. Her name was never forgotten, as her title "Jean d'Arc of the Holy Knights" is said to be a blessing against disaster.

Depiction

Mistel is commonly depicted as an awe-inspiring, regal figure, who is both beautiful and strong. It is said she does not take the form of a humanoid, but rather takes the form of her original mortal self from the ages before the Advent of Beliefs.

Long, black hair, gleaming blue armor, azure irises, and a no-nonsense expression. It isn't hard to believe the legends when one looks upon her gallant figure.

Enemies

As a member of the Adamantian court's Oath faction, Mistel's enemies reside as members of the Betrayers. A group of Arisen who specialize in uncivilized pursuits such as embezzlement and debauchery. Their tenets, however, are not based on their actions, but rather the belief that all Arisen should be free to do as their heart desires, unfettered by the mandates set by Primus.

In addition, Mistel shares a particularly unhealthy relationship with Sani, as their ideals regarding far are inherently incompatible, and often results shouts across the Hall of Arisen.

Commandments of Mistel:

  • Don’t lie or cheat. Let your word be your promise.
  • Never fear to act, though caution is wise.
  • Aid others, protect the weak, and punish those who threaten them. Show mercy to your foes, but temper it with Wisdom.
