The flames of war bellow, like the blazing inferno of a forge at work. An explosion sounds, cries ring out, nothing is left in that burning city but a single knife, crossed by two rifles forged by the demon himself.
Rydain is the god of explosives, gunpowder, and war. More specifically, he represents the logical extreme of a bad trip down PTSD avenue, a corruption fueled by his insatiable hunger for destruction. Due in large part to his indulgences, it is most likely a good thing he didn't end up as the Arisen of Destruction.
Despite his demeanor, he is an accomplished blacksmith, although his refusal to follow the tenets of the Forge removed his candidacy for that domain. His only true goals are to spread wanton destruction wherever he goes by stoking the flames of war, and to do that, he gives his followers numerous firearms of various makes and sizes, and encourage them to stir up trouble in the Material Plane.
A cult dedicated to his name, the Hellraizers (spelled with a "Z" because it's cool) inhabit the northern-most province of Ascistan, near the borders between Shuria and The Final Empire. It is said their name was granted to them directly by Rydain, in one of the few times he spoke to his followers.
Depiction
Rydain generally takes the form of a crazed male tiefling. He also tends to adopt the traits of a dragonborn, including leathery wings and a tail commonly seen in the elders of the race. Because of this, he more closely resembles a dragonkin, although he lacks any visible scales of pigmentation around his eyes.
Since not much art exists of Rydain (as his followers are too preoccupied in destroying rather than creating), all knowledge of his appearance comes directly from Adventurers who have visited the Hall of Arisen.

Enemies
Rydain considers any members of the Oath to be his sworn rivals. Unlike Krurm, Rydain sees rivalry as a personal affair, and takes issue with the vast majority of Arisen who speak of Primus's rules as absolute.
Because of his inclination to relish in chaos and destruction, and his fetish with getting involved in the affairs of mortals, he is both disliked by the Errands and the Old Deus.
Commandments of Rydain:
- Cause destruction wherever you go!
- Shoot first, ask questions later.
- Enjoy your life to the fullest!
