Zekiel

Lord of Shadow and Infamy

"In a country that doesn't discriminate between fame and infamy, the latter presents itself as plainly more achievable."

— Zekiel, the Lord of Shadow and Infamy

To some, the term "famous assassin" is an oxymoron. A redundancy. To the worshipers of Zekiel, it is an inevitability. An assassin who survives—is an assassin who thrives.

When one seeks to encompass themselves in the Shadow's grasp, the knowledge of how to survive in the Light is the upmost necessity. To grow in fame. To relish in infamy. The knowledge of how to make your kills stand out; the power of being a profaned assassin.

Prayers to Zekiel are made before the night of a grand kill—unlike prayers to Talos, these hold a different message. Talos accepts the prayers of those who kill for profit. Zekiel accepts the prayers of those who kill to send a message.

Politicians, kings, emperors, knights, nobles. The weightier the name, the more the Shadow smiles upon the wielder. None can stand against the Shadow's warm embrace—a blanket needs not know the rank of the consumed.

Depiction

Commandments of Zekiel:

  • Know why you kill, and let others know it too.
  • Only through action will you gain the favor and notice of others.
  • The shadows are your friend, only leave them when you know you wish to be seen.
