"I am the god of a million things, all of which are too insignificant to be claimed by others. No matter who you are, you are not insignificant to me."

Unlike other deities, who represent a very select few concepts and domains, Nihil represents every domain that is too small to be claimed, every single concept of human creation that does not possess enough presence in the world to become its own domain like those claimed by other gods.

He is fond of humanity, attributing his existence to them and feeling as though they are owed some level of gratitude by himself and other gods. As such, he will stand for any human who no others stand for, or any human who calls to him directly. Additionally, he will stand if another deity calls to him, though begrudgingly as he believes they do not have the best interests of humanity at heart.

He is an inherently caring god, managing and maintaining his countless domains with precise and level efficiency. Whenever he is called, he will appear, offering whatever advice that he can manage to give. In extreme cases, he may offer one a fraction of his domains, should they ask. However, he will call this more of a curse than a blessing, and is hesitant to pass his domains to others due to the sheer numerity of them.

Compared to other deities, Nihil possesses a strange level of power. Nothing he has can be considered powerful, no one domain of his worth anything more than dust and echoes, but combined, he is a moderately powerful Arisen. However, he is like a swarm of a trillion ants. Dangerous to humans, but a dragon would easily obliterate them in a single breath.

Depiction

Nihil appears to others as a young, tired, but happy young man with short grey hair and amber eyes. Dressed in a fine suit, blue overcoat, and fingerless gloves, he greets others with a soft smile. He speaks in a calm, tired tone, never once addressing others in any way that can be called hostile or angry.

Always present with him is an array of falling leaves, which materialize from nowhere and disappear as soon as they hit the ground. He causes this effect consciously, because he likes how the leaves look.

Enemies

Any force that works against humanity is Nihil’s enemy, regardless of their power or reasoning. A staunch ally of the ordered nature of the world, he is stubbornly on the side of those beneath him, and will give anything to protect them from harm.

He is closely tied to and allied with Chadwick, who he believes understands the nature of his domains.

Commandments of Nihil:

  • The world is a better place if the simple things are appreciated. So take time to sit and listen to what happens around you.
  • Observe the minor aspects of life, and understand them as if they are intrinsic to your nature. Love the little things that make life worth living
  • Simplicity. Live your life as you see fit.
