“Power gives glory? Fool. You think you need power to gain glory?”

As arrogant as his flames are hot, the pure manifestation of power and will granted sentience is not one to be trifled with. From his core is lower Divinity born, but he is not in charge of his own power. The being known as "Asterin" has existed as long as time itself. His flames and the being himself representing the innate drive and will to succeed that encompasses everything within the universe. This doesn't simply refer to wanting to succeed at a basic task and be done. No, it is the drive that inspires one to go beyond. It is about chasing power and glory, no matter your lineage. You do not have to be born the strongest, the fastest, nor the smartest, you simply have to be willing to do anything to achieve true power. And even after you have achieved such power, you are never complacent. You will make them remember your name for all history.

Being so connected to the Weave, having manifested from the concepts of power and will, Asterin is quite literally one of the most adept magic users in the Hall of Arisen.

His flames burn with eternal majesty, with all who behold him realizing that they have witnessed true glory. Divinity, power, and will in its utmost, most pure form. All who bear witness to Asterin realize how insignificant they truly are, and who is to say they can match up in the presence of pure divinity? Asterin does not trouble himself with those who don't have the spirit to go and try to grab divinity and power for themselves. They are weaklings, complacent fools not worth his time.

Everything Asterin does is to achieve the most glory he possibly can. To seek the unreachable and impossible, and show that it is nothing but mere child's play. How could something as easy as being impossible hold any challenge to one like him? Words mean nothing. Action is everything.

Make sure they remember you, or die trying.

Depiction

Asterin depicts himself as nothing but divine, his very form radiating glory and power as the eternal flames wreath around him. His arrogant smile never faltering in the slightest, the deity looks down on those below him. More specifically, everyone. None are worthy of his presence.

Allies / Enemies

Many within the Adamantian Court dislike Asterin due to his brash, arrogant nature, though it's impossible to deny that he's unable to back up whatever he says. Armaros and Asterin share a relationship that ranges from one day being the best of friends, to beating the absolute pulp out of each other the next. Whether the two actually like or hate each other is anyone's guess, though some like Anasi like to form their own speculations and stories (much to their chagrin).

Commandments of Asterin

  • Glory lies beyond the horizon. Challenge the unreachable.
  • Speak not of conquest—demonstrate it.
  • You may grieve, and you may weep, but you shall never regret.
