Roana

Lady of Rebellion

"Rebellion! Always cheered out by those who are just trying to have a little fun and spice things up! That ain't Rebellion though. True Rebellion is slowly stoking the flames of discontent, of misery, the emotions that plague the downtrodden, until they all finally erupt in one giant fire! THAT, my friend, is a Rebellion that not even a god can stop."

- Roana, Lady of Rebellion

There was a time where human kind was perfectly content with how their life was, however bleak or chaotic it was, no one except the Arisen themselves know at this point. A time where everyone simply sat down and took what was handed to them. Never raising a hand against any perceived injustices or any sleights done against them. This period of "peace" would not last long as a girl, one who desired more, more than just the daily monotony and bleakness of life. Slowly, she stoked the fires of rebellion for the first time, whispering in their ears of how things could be better. Of how things could change. How all it would take, was for them to simply come together and demand change. And if those in power would not capitulate, well, the numbers were on their side. For years she fanned the flames, until in an unexpected burst, the kettle erupted. The people rising up from their homes and taking to the streets with whatever weapons and arms they could muster, their voices reaching even to the highest points of the palace. It is here that the first rebellion was born, the bloodiest rebellion to ever grace the annals of history, though it has long been forgotten. Save for the one who instigated it. Hours after the rebellion had concluded and her body lay broken and shattered within the keep of the castle, she rose and ascended to Adamantis. Reborn as the Lady of Rebellion, the one who had ignited the first rebellion to ever take place in the history of human kind.

Roana serves within the Adamantis court today, and often busies herself with taking part of the politics within the court, while also advising and encouraging her followers as they roam the world, helping the people rise up wherever they wander. Her work has never been done since the beginning of her life, and it never will be. Today, she's aligned with the Betrayers within the Adamantian Court, but only because she believes that the Arisen themselves should rebel against Primus. Not many within the ranks of the Court entertain this motion. At least, not yet.

Depiction

The Lady of Rebellion doesn't look much different than she did during her mortal lifetime, only electing to change the appearance of her eyes. Both of them appearing as inky, black voids, her golden irises shining through. Her clothing is rather simple, only wearing a jet black tank top and black trousers. Her right arm is covered with a sleeve of tribal tattoos, though knowledge to which tribe these could represent has been long lost to time. Always chipper and sporting a smile, the Lady of Rebellion is always cordial to those she interacts with. One must win the trust of the people in order to lead them, after all.

Enemies

As the Arisen of Rebellion, it is no surprise that Roana has her fair share of enemies. Rebellion is innately conflict, after all. Elegad is her most avid enemy within the court, the two frequently getting into shouting matches as their ideals clash. She does find friendship and kinship with Arisen such as Amatus and Killion, and even sometimes Elion.

Commandments of Roana:

  • Where ever you witness discontent, witness oppression, witness people being downtrodden, you must fan the flames of Rebellion. As long as it takes.
  • Do not advocate for Rebellion for your own personal gain. It is for the people you must fight. Without genuine conviction, they will not follow you.
  • Rise up no matter the forces who oppose you. No matter their numbers. The will of the people, once you have it, is unbreakable.
