"All that exists does so to serve my pleasure."

Astaroth is the Arisen of Hedonism, a god of desire and indulgence over substance and ideals. He considers righteous action disgusting, and enjoys the satisfaction of base desires.

As the truest representative of the betrayer faction, Astaroth does not support those who help others without expecting far more in return. He is selfish action incarnate, expecting everything to be repaid to him tenfold. As such, shaking hands with him is comparable to making a deal with Archon without reading the fine print.

Astaroth expects neither worship nor praise; to him, his followers are merely a part of an ever-growing collection of things he enjoys toying with. He does not make deals or promises; rather, he expects that everything be given to him without struggle. He is unlike other Arisen in that his only goal is to satisfy his current desire, whatever that may be.

Depiction

Caiden-Astaroth.png

Atsaroth appears as a man, dressed in nothing but a loincloth, riding atop an Ancient White Dragon, with a Pit Viper in hand that doubles as a whip. He speaks in a domineering and lazy tone, as if he truly does not care about those to whom he speaks.

He is almost never present in Adamantis, believing it "too clean" for his tastes.

Enemies

Virutally all of the Oath faction, as he disagrees with the obedience of laws in a fundamental way. He even goes so far as to consider Primus a personal enemy, though he isn't stupid enough to attempt anything regarding that.

The only being who can be considered an "ally" of Astaroth is Archon, due to their agreement on indulgence. However, Archon's penchant for deals and capitalism disgusts Astaroth, as he believes all should be given to him, rather than taken via dealings and agreements.

Commandments of Astaroth

  • Secure a place above others and use them for your pleasure.
  • Enjoy the freedoms of life, regardless of the laws or the wellbeing of others.
  • Accept nothing less than everything someone can offer you.
