Rules

Experience

Experience is tracked in an abstract sense. Experience Points attempt to represent actual 'experiences' as opposed to a sort of 'high score' that is being tracked. The DM will let you know when you're earned an Experience Point. Some ways you might gain Experience:

  • Complete a dangerous mission
  • Defeat a notorious foe
  • Discover an ancient secret
  • Completing a quest
  • Overcoming a dangerous trap or threat
  • Failing in a spectacular fashion

Once you're gained a number of Experience Points equal to your current level, you level up. This 'resets' your current tally back to 0. Levelling up requires reflection and rest, which can only be found at home base.

Leveling Up

When you level up, you generally do the following:

  • Roll your HP again (So your 1st level Hit Die + Class Bonus, + your current level Hit Die). If it's higher than your old HP, it becomes your new HP.
    • Example: Jynna Dulana has leveled up to Level 3. Her current Max HP is 13. She rolls 3d6+4 and rolls a 12. Her Max HP remains 13.
  • Roll a D20 for every Attribute. If you roll over, you increase that Attribute by 1. Your class tells you for which Attribute you are allowed to roll twice.
