I am poofed into a place I do not know. There are two other men who are equally stuck in this mess.
We are sinking into a whirlpool of debris. I clung to a rock and watched the bigger imposing men jump onto a cart and continue to sink. We are all very confused and unsure what it is that is happening. The men are very impressively strong and resist the current of this whirlpool. One swam through it, the other used his cart like a boat! Very impressive, them!
When we all jumped onto cart to help, we fell from the sky - I did not know we were in the sky - towards a mountain. There is nothing but desert under that, too. This is all quite confusing. Whirlpools should not be in the sky, no? Yet here we fall. C’est la vie.
Our descent was very soft. We reached the ground with no trouble, like feathers we drift down. There were ruins in the distance and we decided to go. Before we go the others felt good to introduce ourself. There is a Maximillian and Moxmen. Max and Mox. The Mixes! I hope I do not confuse the two. One is quite imposing the other is quite imposi- OH NO I WILL.
Maximillian said I am a cosplay - I do not know what it is, but perhaps it is compliment! Very kind to compliment first thing. I like Maximillian. Very kind. As Moxmen and I were pushing the cart there was a loud yelly creature who screamed into the air. Like a dragon. I did not hear very well what he said. Something about rain but sounded very scary.
(What Collette didn’t hear is that he said: Then shall come rain unending and the day shall be made night by its coming).
As we entered the ruins Borimas - who is a hawk now? - told me that there is something dangerous. We took shelter in a building, and I am very much uncomfortable. My indoor shoes did not come with me. In fact, I am here in only my pyjamas which is very embarrassing! So here I am in my night clothes, wearing outdoor shoes inside!
Maximillian and I argued about what is the definition of indoors. He is very strange, he does not understand what is in and out of doors for some reason. He called me strange and made me very upset. Then he showed off his many meals while I only have one! If he wasn’t kind I would be angry. But I forgive him.
We waited much time, but the rain continued. We moved up the road towards the danger Borimas told us about and there were puppies! We went to go pet the puppies!
They were not puppies.
We were attacked and so we fought back. I did very much work and helped a lot. Please do not listen to anyone else say otherwise. A man in a hooded robe killed the second dog. He did not say much and approached us very slowly. I believe they are what we call - an edgy rogue?
Maximilian talked about guns? I do not know what this is. But he did say a Boulette would be stronger than a crossbow! He is correct, but I do not understand how or why someone would tame one. He agreed. So I do not know why we are arguing.
The edgy rogue said something in... I do not know what. Then complained that we do not know how to speak but pardon me I speak at least two languages, and neither are hers, so her rudeness is unappreciated. She said the rain will continue until the world ends. And this happens every few months. So, I do not quite understand.
The world has apparently ended over a thousand times, which means it is not really the end, non? Is not much of a big deal, then. Helga - that is their name - said that it is so I will believe her. She brought us into some underground tunnel beneath a wagon. This is very interesting! Like ancient ruins. But not ancient. So not a ruin? I have never heard of a ruin that is not ancient. I shall have to think on this.
I found out that Helga’s face was not her face! It is a mask, like a plague doctor. I feel very foolish to have not seen as such. Maximilian said he is from Chicago and they live under a giant bean they call the cloud gate. It is very popular, according to him. This all sounds very made up. But we have all agreed we are in his nightmare so I am probably just a figment of his imagination so I should not judge.
We were brought to a door and written beside was Rostschutzbunker. I cannot pronounce this.
Inside Moxmen described it as a “black market,” which is a market underground! I learned a new thing today! I asked if they perhaps sell mushrooms - because those grow underground - and he said it looked like just junk. This is sad. We browsed and I got a sword! Much better than a big bone! It did cost me all my silver. We went to go find a Yo-han? Yo’han? I do not know, very interesting name I do not know how to spell.
He gave us a delicious meal! Much better than what I have been having to eat lately. Goblin does not taste good, and is very... My companions described it as “gamey”. Whatever this meat is I much prefer. Helga came and said a ‘scavenger rat’ entered a tunnel labyrinth all on his own with a blue crystal. I do not understand the importance of this, but I will follow Maximilian because I am afraid if I leave him, I will disappear being that I am a part of his imagination.
