Journal

That was so lovely! Writing a diary is really the last thing on my mind right now. But I think I need to record this… a date. Maybe not best of plays, but wonderful company. I don’t think I’ve smiled or laughed so much in a very long time. It’s strange how having Loreus around has made me forget about all my worries. It’s strange how he can deliver the most dreadful of stories followed by the sweetest reassurance and I just believe him, like everything’s ok. He asks me whether I want to stop fighting the titans or rule the world and for a split second I am considering it. But all I want is for this date to last forever, to forget all about the outside world...

On that... Nyx, Theo’s friend (or maybe love interest) has somehow managed to get herself tangled with the Lady of Coins. And searching for her, we’ve gotten tangled in the internal politics of Mytros. Just when we were breathing a sigh of relief at not being involved in the formal debate on slavery, with the Lady of Coins taking credit for what happened in the market.

So here we are, in front of Taran Neurdagon, discussing taking out his enemy in the city. I am not keen on this, not only because I’m not sure having a deus ex machina solve the city’s problems is a sustainable approach to ensuring peace, but more importantly because I really do not want to face the Lady of Coins. But thankfully, Taran is sensible enough to be happy with a compromise, an oath. A far better solution. I am apprehensive that the rest of the party may be swayed towards... eliminating her. Which may be both quite hard to achieve, given the power she wields in this city. Enough to fill a man like the eldest Neurdagon with trepidation. But, more importantly, because I don’t feel that we know enough about her motivation or even her actions. Especially since even Taran had to admit that some of the very poor may miss her. We’ve seen her through his lens and she is definitely the evil character in that story. But outside of that, we only have glimpses of a character that is neither black nor white, but very much like the rest of us, shades of grey. Let’s hope talking to her may shed more light on this. If we can get to her...
