The Satyr’s Tail is truly a place I never want to go back to ever again. The tables are not to be touched, the wine appalling and the floor so sticky I was truly in fear of losing my shoes. The people didn’t paint a different picture, drunk and rowdy pirates and thieves. Even the Cult of Lutheria look down on them. My connection with the Cult though seems sound - Trellus, there only for the purposes of delivering wine, seemed quite keen to share gossip. Not necessarily the most useful gossip: Chondrus has not been seen in a while, one would hope for good. Also, the Cult has the ear of one of the candidates to replace Gaius at the head of the Order of Sydon. That may genuinely be a worse option than Gaius himself. We’ll see what comes of it all. I do wonder if of all of the Heroes of the Heartlands, I was the best candidate to sneak (or maybe snake...) into the Cult. But only time will tell. I, however, will need to find a better disguise than this if this charade is to continue. Maybe some magical means...
In the meantime, Calliope has managed to get some info on two members of the Cult of the Snake. Incognito, I tried to reason with one of them to send a message to Moxena only to be faced with threats. Meanwhile Hippofilius and Helikaon followed the other to a warehouse by the dry docks. Theo seems anxious to go in as quickly as possible, brandishing our fighting prowess. Yet, I am sure the Lady of Coins will see sense and talk to us. She seemed sensible and cunning when I’ve met her - she will listen to reason. And just in case my earlier message does not make sense, I write a note and sign it with my name. Slippy delivers it to the sewers where the Cult patrol. So we return to wait for a message back at the... [the sentence breaks... the next lines are more rushed, almost untidy in their calligraphy]
