Letter to Versi (#4)
(Written after the Wine Festival, this letter is somewhat messier than usual where Calliope has had a fair bit of wine.)

My wonderful, beautiful Versi,

After this is all over, we need to go and see all of Thylea’s festivals together!

We went to Estoria’s Wine Festival tonight and it was so much fun. But I just know it would have been more fun with you! All the people, and the music, and the dancing, and the food; you’d love it, I’m sure. If this is what Estoria’s festivals are like, I can only imagine what they must be like somewhere larger, like in Mytros, or maybe Aresia!

I even made friends with some of the festival musicians (I’m trying to learn some new songs as music seems to have changed so much in 500 years!) and ended up watching the night’s play with them. It was a story about Estor, but I’m not sure it was completely true. It felt a bit off; like listening to a song where the tune is right, but the words are all wrong. Though, I admit that I can’t actually remember the correct words.

True or not though, I enjoyed it. Helikaon was even on stage for a little while and he did so well! At least, he was definitely the loudest and I think that’s good?

After that there was wine and dancing. And more wine. Lots more wine. All in all, everyone seemed to have a good time. Well, except Kyrah, who was maybe a little agitated? I’m not sure why: but she was up on stage for a little while and seemed kind of upset. I’ll try and remember to ask in the morning.

I better go to bed. My head is starting to spin a little. But I can’t go before I remind you that I miss you, and I love you, and I can’t wait until you are in my arms again.

Yours always and forever,
Calliope
