A never ending sea,
A wave engulfing me,
Sinking, breathless, drowning,
There is no beginning and no end.

For so long,
I hoped one day to wake up
and catch my breath,
I hoped the seas would dry out,
And I would be as whole.

Yet still loving you is who I am,
The one true curse:
this one-sided love, this lonely woman, this broken heart.

I’m not sure that’s what Calliope had in mind… well, I think that is what she had in mind, but not… I may need to try again, but I don’t think I’ve ever been any good at poetry. No even back then when poems would have made a difference.  Let’s definitely not show this to Loreus of all people…
