Parthenia Valentor is a noblewoman and gifted Priestess of the Five. She was adopted as a small child by a noble Mytrosian family, who raised her and helped secure her training with the Temple of the Five.
Years of dealing with prejudice and gossip because of her race have left her a rather serious and stern woman, though not unkind. Her demeanour is in stark contrast to her friend and employer Galen Adamos, to whom she provides magical services.
Parthenia is in love with Damaris, a local baker. Unfortunately, despite her noble rank and magical aptitude, Damaris' family would never accept their daughter marrying a Tiefling; while Parthenia's own family disapprove of her abandoning her vows to the temple in order to marry someone of much lower rank.
So the pair have instead been courting in secret for almost a decade, while Parthenia has been saving money from her work with Galen so that she and Damaris might elope and live their life far away from Mytros and their judgemental families.
The tiefling finally has enough money saved and has bought a small bakery in Estoria. She will be leaving with Damaris after the games; though Galen does not yet know that this will be the last competition that Parthenia will be helping him with.
