It was a thoughtful group that made their way back down the mountain.
We wished to consult Versi on this turn of events and it was clear Calliope wished to spend more time with her since they had been separated for so long. As we approached the city we created the illusion of another me, being large enough to cloak Versi's true form and I followed on, calling on feline nature spirits to assume the form of a small cat.
We arranged a room and Versi came to a suitable arrangement with Ambrosia about promoting the Roost after the games were done and the need for secrecy passed.
We gave Calliope and Versi enough time to catch up whilst we arranged food and drink. Our new friend Xan seemed keen to join our team and it seems the oracle had spoken to her before, prophesying similar deeds for her. Her fate seems tied to Estor's ship, the Ultros, so it may be that she joins us for longer than the Games alone.
She did seem not to have grasped the strengths of this fellowship though- she seemed to equate Helikaon and Alke's cautious route up the mountain as a sign of their weakness. I told her of some of the times they had both saved all our skins and she seemed to take in that appearances might indeed be deceiving.
Still, let us hope the Oracle can offer us some hope- Sydon and Lutheria have advanced their pawns enough. Here come their knights.
