According to Siren history, Phaeros was the one that gave the bird-like race the gift of inspiration. It is said that he had an affinity for them and that he believed that it was not right that mortals had been denied the ability to grow and create.
The story goes, however, that when the Siren’s used his gift to praise the Titans the twins were displeased; destroying the race’s ancestral city and cursing a number of their race to be harpies.
