It would seem that Xan’s words were not just a form of deceit aimed at distracting Estor’s ghostly form like she has done in clever ways many a time during battle. She is actually an Arkelander. Acastus himself is her father… and to be honest I am not sure what to make of it. She lied to us. I’m not sure it will be easy to accept that. But then again how many things have I not told my new friends to begin with. Be it in fear of their judgment of my own conscience remembering my guilt. Not that it ever seems to forget.
The problem is her father is a man we all seem to deeply despise, so let’s hope she never needs to take sides. I know very little about the relationships between children and parents - I know not how I would feel to meet mine for the very first time after so long. But I can only hope both Xan and I would choose this party. And the greater good.

Hippofilius is all better and has kindly offered some advice on healing and healing spells. Lots of plants and potions I had never even heard of. I’ve been taking lots of notes and practicing. The spells feel strange, they draw on the power of the natural world around us and that is very different from how I weave magic. Mine comes from inside, like a burst of energy, so if I could adapt these incantations to work like that, maybe taking inspiration from Calliope’s music, there may be a solution.
