Fire, everywhere, fear, my heart is thumping in my chest. And all I want to do is run. Just as I had back then. Run as far away as possible. From the look of repulsion on their faces. From my own anger. And then my mind focuses and I remember the words, the hand movements. The spell doesn’t take effect, the fiery doom is averted. So I stare down at its source to find the gnome I thought was a friend. Why? How could I have been so wrong?! The anger boils inside of me and pushes me to fight back. Give it all I have. My hands move quickly whilst my lips mumble the incantations and I try to throw everything I can at them. At those I thought were my friends. Turned against me. I see the hate in their eyes. I make the island quake and bring the mists from the sea above it. And yet, their spells and arrows pierce through me. I approach as the snakes reach out to bite at the enemy, but she moves quicker than I predicted and all I remember is everything turning to black...
