Hafling from the small town of Zotlen always feeling at home in the kitchen of his family's pub The Tealeaf Tavern, Alton was a huge help to the family and business by elevating the food and making the pub the best place to eat in the area. After the large success of the family tavern Alton and his best friend and sous chef Samual Wilco pack up and head to Schardeck to find success with the amount of talent they possessed. They two opened The Tealeaf which was a high-end and lavish establishment frequently visited by many nobles of Schardeck hosting many noble families, high ranking officials, as well as Alton's family. Under the high pressure of this day, Alton was under a large amount of stress, not to mention the oven was lot lighting, when Alton went to try and resolve the problem something unexpected happened the flame began to grow and grow inside the oven, it then vanished followed quickly by a large explosion knocking Alton unconscious. When Alton awoke he was covered in the ruble of his prized establishment. As Alton crawled his way out of the pile of wood and ash he came across the charred remains of his friend Samual Wilco. Alton finally emerged from the deviation he was quickly surrounded by guards and forcing him to flee the city not knowing if any of the nobles, officers, or even Alton's family survived the event. Alton vowed to find out what is happening to him and perhaps clear his name and hopefully find his family unharmed.
