- North of the dome. A few hours walk (I think?) There are a few areas of interest here
- A pillar or monolith that rises from the ground, the purpose of this is currently unknown
- A house with an arcane locked door
- A house with a 'mana pool' in it. Its purpose is also unknown but when the group inspected it it was empty.
- Another complex with small furry creatures in it. When they got excited/scared they explode.
- The party originally explored here to retrieve an enchanting table that was set up by the pillar. After some brief exploration they left without fully solving the mysteries of the area. When they arrived there was a line of powder connecting the pillar/enchanting table with the arcane pool. We witnessed a ball get thrown out of the arcane pool building, it traced the powder changing it's color. Not long afterwards a storm came through (from the north, not a highstorm) and the powder was ignited (its not clear if the storm ignited it or someone else did). Gwen then appeared and fixed the damage done by the explosion and left. The party then explored the arcane pool room, it was empty.
Your guess is as good as mine as to what any of that means. One theory of mine is that the arcane pool was full before the storm. Something about the storm coming and powder getting ignited caused that magical essence to be used to charge the pillar. Maybe the enchanting table was close to the pillar as a 'sacrifice' (since its a magical object) and its' essence would have also been put into the pillar if we hadnt moved it. (Again all of that is just a theory) As to why the pillar was being charged and what it does, no idea. Also Gwen didnt appear to be the one doing this, she appeared afterwards to fix the damage done.
