Haeldir's Travelling Almanac Book Notes 8

Session referring to: 01 - 22 Voidherald Arc Pt. 6

With Wax not around Jarvis, Furet, Six and I decided to go back to the dome and inspect what is beyond the lab. We agreed to take a more northern path in order to scout out additional areas.

We initially passed a carriage we spotted a while back. To the north of it we spotted a temple ruin that we decided to explore. Within the collapsed structure Six noticed a mural picture of a blacksmith that is forging a blue crystal sword made of ice. It also depicted the same figure handing the sword over to a human in a suite of armor. The cracked alter has an engraving of a circle in the middle and three dots within a triangle on the sides. The only distinguished feature between the two triangles was that the one of them was upside down.

We continued to the area above the mini oasis where we found a dozen kobold tracks with a large beast with claws. They may have been traveling together. I heard that some kobolds have tamed large monsters that they rode into battle and I assume these are the same.

North east of the mini oasis we spotted a large building within a couple of miles. A group of tall kobolds, similar to Sunzun, came out of the building and attacked us. After we killed the initial wave more approached with a massive beast. We decided that discretion was the greater part of valor and managed to lose them in the hills north of the dome.

Once we got to the dome we found footprints of a kobold with a cane. I am guessing it was Mepo. His tracks led into the dome entrance that now looked even weaker than last time. It looks like the old kobold decided to try and save his daughter on his own. I wish him luck but I am not hopeful we will see him again.

Within the lab we found a kobold aberration and a dormant semi aquatic creature in green water within a three foot water container. We also found some powder in a box. It was magical. As I write this I just realized I completely forgot to analyze it once I got to the dome as it is still sitting in my backpack.

In the hallway leading from the lab we found a crack in a wall that looked very similar to the crack in the dome. The moment we approached it we felt some sort of undefined power assault our minds. I fear that passing it repeatedly will be risky.

Beyond the crack we found a ceremonial looking entrance framed with a snake's mouth. The entrance led to a pool with a black pudding within. Beyond the pull we saw a underground river with a three prong bridge leading to a passage beyond. At this point we felt it was too risky to press on and we returned to the dome.
