Theodosia Stokes

Theodosia was born in 1823 to Valodja Molina shortly after the latter escaped from a plantation in San Blas where she was a slave to a Spanish colonist and plantation owner.

Having killed two soldiers during her escape, and a runaway slave, Valodja Molina stayed on the run with her daughter for all of Theo's early life.

Valodja Molina died in 1836 of an illness, leaving Theodosia alone in the world at the age of 13.

In 1838, Theodosia found herself in the Oregon Territory where she met and soon married Johnathan Stokes, and settled into the quiet life of a homesteader family. That same year she gave birth to Luca Stokes. In 1839, she gave birth again to Valodja Stokes.

Then in 1843, a bounty hunter that was seeking Valodja Molina found the family, unaware that Valodja Molina had died years earlier. The encounter did not go well, and most of Theodosia's family was killed - including Theodosia.

It was during that event that Theodosia became Awakened. Revived by her awakening, she returned to the world to find her husband and son dead. Her daughter Valodja Stokes had survived but was traumatized by the incident.

Wracked by grief, but still needing to care for her daughter, Theodosia eventually found herself in San Francisco. While working in a saloon there, she met, befriended and soon fell in love with Unknown.

The urge to travel soon overtook her again, and Theodosia and her new lifemate packed up their wagon and headed out, eventually finding themselves in Purgatory Bluff.

She currently does odd jobs, runs a laundry with Unknown, and occasionally performs or works at the Saloon for Mdm. Henriette Robert.
