The Lady of Fate, The Wedded Goddess
There are threads that connect all things. They say there are a few who see these lines, drawn out in an intricate web across existence. They do not pull. They only provide a path. Which of these you follow, if any, is up to each creature. Where they go is what weaves their tapestry.
Istus is the goddess of chosen fate. She once shared a place with Savras in the Prime Pantheon, but has become the major god of fate following his demise.
When The Raven Queen ascended to godhood, it was Istus who approached her in the Shadowfell. The two would be wedded, intertwining death and fate.
The Binding of Fate
One story of Istus tells of the origin of her conflict with Savras. When Savras reached beyond his station to force the world to meet his image of destiny, Istus reprimanded him. She wove a rope which she then gifted to the goddess Unknown, who with the help of Istus and her sisters bound Savras in the threads of fate and forced him to relent.
This act created longstanding tension between followers of Istus and Savras.
