Elves are slow to produce children, but capable of doing so outside of their own species. Humans, orcs, and firbolg are compatible unions with which to produce a child.
Outside of the firbells produced by an elf and firbolg parent, those of half-elven ancestry frequently experience uneven lifespans compared to those of their surrounding communities, leading to a sense of disconnect among their peers.
