The Bleeding Mire

A dreadful landscape named for the blood soaked into the earth. Rather than water, cold blood pools in this swamp, oozing from the trees which reach out to pull it from traveler's veins. It is known to be a particularly dangerous place, as it is mirrored by the Shallow Heart's domain.

Within the depths of the mire is a spirit gate. Through here, a quiet and beautiful realm is found. Clear water with cloud-like mist curling on its surface, tall and verdant islands rising out of the depths. It is sparsely populated with spirits, though all avoid the Shallow Heart that rules as master of this realm.
