The Asharian calendar was created under heavy Syvherrian influence, as evidenced by the structure of their days and weeks. The year, sometimes called a "cycle", is broken up into 4 seasons - Spring (Sp), Summer (Sm), Autumn (At), and Winter (Wn) - which are then broken up further into 3 distinct periods: 49 days of Rising, a day at the season's Peak, and 49 days of Fading. Each Rising and Fading period, often referred to as a "spanning", is organized into 7 weeks of 7 days. The weeks are named after the seven Syvherrian gods, and repeat with every spanning (each 8 times total in the course of the year); the days are unnamed, merely marking the progress through a given week in a given spanning. Days are most often written as "X of Week" or as "X Week", such as "1st of Bash" or "1 Bash". In scholarly settings, it's customary to write "AC" (Asharian Calendar) after the year.
There are two common means of structuring dates in writing. The first and more formal method involves writing out the date in its entirety, for example: "1st of Bash, Spring Rising 4310". The second and more informal method involves noting which of the eight possible occurrences a given day of a given week is falling in the year via numeral, primarily used as shorthand: "1 Bash I 4310".
