Overview
By far the most varied and widespread race in the world, humans can be found practically everywhere.
History
For much of history, humans have been the ones to enact change upon the world. It was a human that united the races and nations of Rozarria against their mutual enemies during the Dragon War. Conversely, it was also a human that nearly destroyed Rozarria by making pacts with demons during the Mad King's reign.
Description
Humans can come in all shapes and sizes. Though naturally quite mundane, humans make up for their lack of innate magic or defensive measures with their inventiveness and adaptability. They have a reputation for being shortsighted, indulgent, and self-important; however, they are also known to be empathetic, determined, and passionate.
Human Ethnicities
Hillborn
The humans who trace their origins to the Redhills region of Rozarria tend to have tanned skin, medium or dark hair, and blue or brown irises. Most are on the short side and are of an average build. The arcane red coloration that saturates the area has also left its mark on the humans that call it home, leaving many to be born with shocks of crimson hair.
Loran
The "northfolk" hailing from Lorukai often have pallid skin, light hair, and blue or green irises. Most are tall and of an average build. They have a reputation for being uncommonly hairy, some sporting beards of such coarseness and length that even a dwarf would envy.
Rooklander
These humans tend to have tanned skin, very dark hair, and green or brown irises. Most are of an average height and somewhat gangly. For as long as anyone can remember, the humans that call the Weirding Wood home have adorned themselves with intricate tattoos of runes, birds, and feathers in accordance with "the old ways"; such markings are said to ward away evil spirits and fey, protecting one's soul from being corrupted.
Kadarin
Humans that originated in the silvery sands of Kadar often have dark skin, medium or dark hair, and violet irises. Most are of an average height and an average build. It's believed that their distinct purple eyes are the product of an ancient blessing or curse, though it's hard to determine which with no perceivable side effects associated with their peculiar eye color.
Davrish
Originally from the region around the Glasscoast Sea, these humans usually have tanned skin, light or medium hair, and brown or hazel irises. Most are on the short side and somewhat gangly. Traditionally, the people of Davrin weave their hair into small braids and attach adornments to the ends. They are also commonly seen in Gilead, alongside shinnarian humans.
Shinnarian
Those that come from the United Prefectures of Shinnar often have dark skin, light hair, and brown or grey irises. Most are on the tall side and somewhat gangly. Their hair has a tendency to grey significantly faster than most other humans, leading some to jokingly attribute this to the heightened stress associated with the academic life Shinnar promotes. They are also commonly seen in Gilead, alongside davrish humans.
Laasirian
The humans originating from eastern Landis tend to have tanned skin, medium or dark hair, and green or blue irises. Most are of an average height and a stocky build. More often than not they will have heterochromatic eyes, with one usually being blue.
Rhyvyish
Hailing from Beartrap Bog, these humans usually have pallid skin, light or medium hair, and brown or hazel irises. Most are on the tall side and are of a stocky build. Those raised by the Dredgers spend most of their lives covered by their distinct carapace-like armor, thus the majority of examinations to document their physical features have been performed posthumously.
Human Society
The various human kingdoms that have risen and fallen across the world tend to be as diverse as humankind itself. Humans have a love for identity and independence. Human towns and cities often act as cultural melting pots. It's quite common to see bits and pieces of other races' traditions, languages, and architecture incorporated throughout human society, often becoming quite distinct from their original roots. Listed below are not exclusively human nations, but rather nations comprised of many races within which humans play a particularly vital role or are a demographic majority.
