Quick pitch: The Feathertop Mountains loom over the northwestern edge of Gilead, forming a natural border with the United Shinnar Prefectures and directly intersecting with the Serpent's Spine. The mountains were home to a large population of aarakocra in ancient times, though in the present 4th millennium the number has dwindled. Aside from the isolated Sunstone Monastery, there are no other documented settlements in the mountain range.
