As Pip walked along the murky path towards the half sunken hut, he noticed a glimmering object on the doorstep. He was drawn to it, like a moth to a flame. As Pip picked it up, he felt a weight in his palm, but also a strange, almost ethereal lightness. Pip couldn't help but marvel at the way the sunbeams reflected on its silvery surface, creating a mesmerizing spectacle of light and shadow.
As he took a closer look, he realized that the surface was covered in tiny, delicate feathers. It was unlike any egg Pip had ever seen before. He turned it over in his palm, examining it closely and wondering what creature it could belong to. With a sense of curiosity and excitement, he decided to take the egg back to the hideout and attempt to hatch it.
Carefully cradling the egg, Pip began to search for information on what kind of creature it might be. He consulted Luna's vast knowledge of animals and their behaviours, but nothing seemed to match up with the unique characteristics of this egg. Determined to find a way to hatch it, Pip carefully placed the egg near the heat exhaust of his cognitive unit, hoping that the warmth will encourage it to develop. He checked on it frequently, watching for any signs of movement or change.
Days pass, and at first, it seems like nothing is happening. But one morning, Pip noticed a small crack forming in the shell. As the crack widened, he could hear soft chirping sounds coming from the egg. It seemed like the creature inside was trying to communicate with Pip.
Finally, the egg hatched, and a small, fluffy chick emerged. It had shiny black feathers and bright blue eyes that sparkled in the light. Pip decided to take care of the chick and named it Zéfiro.
