Their first plan involved striking a deal with the renowned animal collector, Comtesse deVille, who held one such key. In an audacious ploy, Dervish assumed the role of a skilled forger and crafted impeccable pedigree papers for a Unknown, a prized addition to the Comtesse's menagerie. Meanwhile, Luna, utilizing her transformative abilities, morphed into the very snake in question. However, their carefully laid plan unraveled when the sharp-eyed butler saw through their ruse just in time.
With their primary strategy foiled, the resourceful duo swiftly moved to Plan B. Luna hatched a daring plot known as the "pigeon heist." Taking the form of a nimble pigeon, Luna infiltrated the lavish party hosted by the Comtesse and cleverly instigated a small rebellion within the menagerie. Amidst the ensuing chaos, Dervish seized the opportunity to stealthily navigate the opulent apartment, meticulously rummaging through the Comtesse's office for any valuable information, while Luna discreetly explored the confines of her bedroom.
As the servants swiftly regained control over the animal rebellion, Dervish and Luna found themselves with no time to spare. With deft agility, they made their escape through the labyrinthine chimneys. Thankfully, Luna managed to secure not only the coveted key, a rare and exquisite breed of flower, but also a handful of valuable jewellery, serving as an unexpected boon to their endeavour.
Armed with the precious key, Dervish and Luna triumphantly entered the hallowed grounds of the Royal Garden, ready to embark on their exploratory mission. Their initial steps led them through meticulously manicured English gardens, a testament to the artistry of nature. However, as they ventured further, they arrived at a peculiar-looking greenhouse, concealed beneath a towering glass roof. Stepping inside, they were greeted by a breathtaking jungle-like environment teeming with exotic and carnivorous plants, interspersed with perplexing practical jokes carefully devised to challenge and amuse.
Undeterred, our intrepid heroes put their wit and resourcefulness to the test, determined to overcome the greenhouse's enigmatic jokes and riddles. Once they successfully deciphered the enigma of a mystical fountain, its waters revealing the path forward, they emerged from the verdant enclosure, finding themselves surrounded by a dense pine forest. To their surprise, the forest harboured not only towering trees but also an array of predatory creatures immune to conventional weaponry. Additionally, the air was thick with a resin, oozing from the trees.
