They say the first person buried in a graveyard is to guide and protect the souls of the dead that are buried there with them. As such, when building a new cemetery, one might think to bury an animal first so that a human wouldn't be saddled with this duty.

Well, the first to be buried in the graveyard outside of the Church of St. Brigid in Tullach Port happened to be a Cu Sidhe who died in a fire while saving a little boy.

Disadvantages

Code of the Honest Ones - -5 points

This is a Code of Honor for all Faerie
  • Observing a Sidhe (but not others) without their knowledge is considered an act of violence. You might as well have punched them. If a Sidhe attacks as a result, it's considered self defense.
  • If you borrow something, return it in better condition.  Stealing from Sidhe is a horrible offense.
  • If you say you are going to do something, it's extremely offensive if you don't.
  • The words that leave my mouth are my responsibility; how you interpret them is not.
  • Elder trees are sacred and must be protected. Respect and revere the Eldernymphs.

Code of the Unseelie - -10 points

This is a Code of Honor for Unseelie Faerie

  • Change is good.  Security does not exist.  The slightest of circumstances can transform a king into a peasant.  Nothing is certain in a world where change is the only constant.  Embrace change or else fall before its onslaught.  Chaos and discord rule the universe.  Adapt or die.
  • Glamour is free.  Glamour is worthless unless used.  Hoarding Glamour makes no sense, since it is replenishable.  So long as humans exist, there will always be dreamers, hence, there will always be more Glamour.  Acquire it by any means possible, and you will never be without a constant supply.
  • Honor is a lie.  Honor has no place in this world.  It is a fairy tale constructed to cover the essential emptiness behind most traditions.  Only through enlightened self-interest can any truth be attained.
  • Passion before duty.  Passion is the truest state of the fae spirit.  Follow your instincts and act on your impulses.  Live life to the fullest without regard to the consequences - they will come about regardless of what you do.  Death can come at any time, so live without regret.

Compelled by True Name - - Varies

As described in True Names, you are compelled by your True Name.

  • This is worth 0 points for humans.
  • This is worth -4 points for angels, demons, faeries, and genies.
  • This is worth -2 points for everyone else.

Additionally, you can select the following:

  • Stronger Compulsion: When someone uses your True Name to get you to do what they want, you must make a Will roll.  If you succeed, it's your choice whether to do what they said.  If you fail, you must do what they said.  In either case, you get the character point(s) if you do it. (additional -2 points)
  • Stronger Buff: When someone speaks your True Name to make a roll against you, they get an additional +1 to their roll. (additional -2 points)
  • More Damage: When someone speaks your True Name to do more damage against you, they get an additional +1 damage.  (additional -2 points)
  • Stronger Debuff: When someone speaks your True Name to debuff  your next roll against them, you take an extra -1.  (additional -2 points)

Pointed Ears - -5 points

This disadvantage comes in two versions:

Furtive

When someone catches a glimpse of you out of the corner of their eye, they could have sworn you have pointed ears..

When encountering you with your ears uncovered for the first time, a person may roll against Per-2.  On a fail, they don't notice.  On a success, they briefly notice, but only out of the corner of their eye.  On a critical success, they can see your pointed ears even when looking straight at you.

If you confirm for someone that your ears are pointed, or if they learn of your true nature, they can see them permanently.

Blatant

You have pointed ears that are visible all the time.
