Lord Rian of the Autumn Court, Count of Fireflies, Counselor of Brightlings and Darklings
There was once a pair of warring Pixie groups called the Brightlings and Darklings. Brightlings glow by night, and Darklings darken by day. Actually, the Brightlings and Darklings are simply variants of the same species, and can interbreed (the gene for glowing is dominant, while the gene for darkening is recessive). Rian noticed that the were equals in the in-betweens, and so he created the Hall of Dusk, a faerie glade that exists in a state of perpetual autumn twilight. The Brightlings and Darklings now live there in harmony, and lay claim to the mortal world at the separate times when they are strongest.
