This... this is not a garden at all. It looks more like a house. A house full of beautiful women who are all named after flowers, and they all answer to the marvelous Madam Nightshade. Hmm.
If you work here, you probably live here too. There is space to describe your room over on the House (Tullach Port) page.
How it works:
- The Flower is paid by the client and keeps the money, but pays the Garden, to cover living expenses and to give them the right to work there. The amount that the Garden keeps is some fixed amount plus a percentage of their earnings. Each Flower is responsible for setting her own price and frequency of work. No one cares how much or how little you work, as long as you make enough to pay your rents. If you don't do well, though, they may throw you out to make room for someone they think can do better.
- The town has rules put in place to protect the flowers and their clients and maintain some decency.
- The Flowers must wear a special red ribbon (however they like) while on duty. This ribbon has embroidery forming black roses at the ends, and would be difficult to replicate, so it proves their association with the Garden.
- The Garden is the only brothel in town, and is the only permitted source of prostitution.
- Flowers can only seek clients in the Dockside area of town.
- Flowers cannot display their ribbon and must dress decently if they want to leave Dockside.
- Married individuals are not allowed in, and they may be punished if discovered there.
