Kobolds, the youngest of the dragon Kin have for most of their existence been known as a scourge upon all, known for stealing and pillaging anyone who is foolish enough to not properly defend their settlement. They gained a reputation for their reckless abandon, and feral behavior. They were often pressed into slavery, and found themselves under constant attack by adventurers, and simple guard regiments alike.

As the giant tribes slowly spread though, they took along their side a new breed of Kobold. The Honor Kin as they were called were in nearly every way opposite of their Honorless Kin. They held the sense of moral obligation above all else, holding oaths, becoming leaders and philosophers, Smiths and craftsmen, they became the backbone of the giant society, taking up shepherding animals to feed their large Kin, doing business with cities and villages in their Kin's stead.

Occasionally less informed places would attack the Honor Kin, mistaking them for their Honorless counterparts. To their dismay, this mistake would often end in their city, or village quickly being removed from the maps, as this was considered the greatest of insults to the Giang Tribes. In the past few thousand years, the Honor Kin have made great strides to convert their Honorless Kin, venturing into the underdark, and converting them to their ways.

While many other Dragon Kin struggle with their heritage, it seems once a Kobold is considered an Honor Kin, they seem to almost entirely lose this internal struggle. This does not mean it is impossible or even all that unlikely for Honor Kin to do wrong, simply that they are not prone to theft, greed, or violent acts like their Honorless counterparts are. Some think they are enslaved to the Giants. The giants, along with the Honor kin believe that to become an Honor Kin, is itself an Oath, making the Honor Kin bound to their oath to follow the ways of Honor.
