Lalande 21185 star system, better known in the Free March as The Hole.
The star system consists of a faint red dwarf star, two inner rocky planets, a wide dusty asteroid belt and four dirt ice planetoids farther out. While independent miners operate the outer worlds and seed the belt with sensors and defense systems, the inner worlds work as a sort of neutral ground and haven for pirates and privateers. A single colony also called The Hole exists on the surface of the system’s second planet. Access to the colony comes with little questions asked, but a firm reminder that bounties are not to be collected in the colony, and that any damage to the will be met with extreme prejudice.
Locations of Note:
Starport: Public docking for 4 ships at any one time. Those who have frequent business in the hole have deals to use the many private docks.
Hole Tavern: Central dining/lodging location for the transient population. Run by a Yahidar, named Shodri, who is both the proprieter and the closest thing The Hole has to an administrator.
Warehouse Bazaar Complex: 2 MASSIVE warehouses contain a multitude of stalls containing all kinds of goods. Examples include pelts of artificially resurrected from extinction, drug dens, starship parts, and raw materials from the miners out in the asteroid belt.
