Genji______________ grew up on the tidally locked planet of Verces as a second generation immigrant as part of humanity's diaspora. Limited to the 50 mile wide band of ground habitable to humans he had never been far from home. As he grew realtions between the two local species, the verthani and strix, and the human settlers worsened to the point of gang wars between the local youths.
One evening Genji was out too late with his friends. After seperating to head home he was set upon by a band of strix who flew down from the hab blocks to grab him. Slipping away from the first strike he ran and ran. He was pursued to the edge of the human band and was driven to dayside. The strix who were native to that region kept following like the fabled vultures of old Earth.
After a day of pursuit the heat caused him to collapse. The strix landed and we're coming in for the kill when a burst of light appeared right next to him. The figure that stepped out was utterly alien to the young Genji though he later learned through research that it must have been one of the lost Fear Niemhe (pronounced Far Nyava for elf). With a flick of his hand the young strix flew back with bone breaking force. The figure helped genji up and then pressed a hand to his forehead pushing something non-physical into his body.
"Find our places of knowledge. You may be fit to become one of our inheritors and complete our mission."
Present day (almost)
Genji stepped off his boat on the west side of Ukulam. He said off into the jungle to find the best lead on the Fear Niemhe he had heard yet. He did not plan to leave this jungle until he had found the Temple of the Ywelve
after 3 months of wandering he was on his last legs when mercenaries captured him. After returning to their camp he was thrown to the ground before a human woman.
"Why are you here"
"To find the lost knowledge of the Fear Neimhe. They have ordained me as one of their inheritors. I must find the temple to continue their work"
The woman leaned forward smiling "we will bring you to their Temple however you will not have a chance to learn what they have hidden there. It will not be a stepping stone for your quest but it's ruins shall be your sepulcher"
