Antonio's dad and litter-siblings were killed when he was young. His mother never talked about what happened or why she decided to keep Antonio home with her that day. Over the next few years his mother fell ill and passed away. At 12, Antonio, desperate with hunger and still suffering from the loss of his mother, snuck aboard a smaller beat up old traders ship. He was hoping to grab some food and sneak back out unnoticed. Unfortunately, he had snuck onto a pirate vessel and ran face first into the Captain. After begging the Captain to spare his life and take him from this accursed planet, the Captain agreed and set him to work as the new cabin boy. Antonio learned a lot from the crew and Captain over the next few years and found a new family. Shortly after Antonio turned 15, the pirates were in port and he was sent on an errand to deliver a small package and return with the payment. On his return, he found the ship surrounded by local law enforcement and the Captain and crew being hauled away. He took the payment for the delivery, traveled to a bigger port, and joined a traveling performers troupe. He soon learned that there was no family here. Everyone looked out for themselves and if you fell behind, messed up, or got injured they would leave you behind. Halfway through his 16th year he discovered the troupe leader trying to force himself on one of the other performers. His training with the pirates kicked in and before he knew it the troupe leader was bleeding out on the ground and Antonio's knife was buried in the troupe leaders back. Hearing the sound of people coming to investigate the scuffle, Antonio rushed to the troupe leaders stash spot. He grabbed the cred sticks, stuffed a few in the performers hands and rushed out the window. Since that day, Antonio used the cred sticks to outfit and rename a stolen ship into his vessel, O Burro Falante. He hired a crew and they spent the next 5 years travelling through space, taking odd contracts and making lucrative deals all over. He specialized in pickup and delivery, NO questions asked for the right price. Just after Antonio's 21st birthday, one of his crew members decided to look at what they were "transporting". The crew member told the rest of the crew and after deciding they could make more stealing the item and selling it to the highest bidder, they caught Antonio off guard and performed a mutiny against him. They left him with almost nothing on some godforsaken jungle planet. Antonio walked for days before coming across a town. Once in the town it was simple to snag food, drink, and minimal UPB's or cred sticks as he went. After satisfying his hunger, Antonio went in search of a way off this planet and after his ship. He quickly found the port and with the right bribes and sweet talking he learned that the Kormoran had been in dock for a week without any of the crew showing up. Antonio snuck aboard and spent the next two days learning every nook, cranny, and feature of the ship. The next few days after that he spent getting the ship outfitted with supplies and getting fake papers made up for it. He was about 4 hours from being ready to leave when the entire planet started falling apart.
