The townsfolk seem to worship Avacynas their angel/protector of this world. This world is plagued by creatures and demons and Avacynwould fly around trapping unkillable creatures into the Helvault. They don’t seem to know that she is missing but they are starting to worry about how many more attacks and missing people they have been.
We met Coulton! He really wants to be a hero and has taken a very strong liken to Gafilimore. Gafilimorehas kindly taken Coultonunder his wing and given him tasks to do.
There was a werewolf attack at the local farm while we were learning about the world at the unusually large orphanage/church. We managed to save all the sheep.
The carriage arrived and we were placed in a group with Coulton, Nefiand Sorin. On the way to the mansion, we were attacked by several swarms of bats, revenants and a banshee. Coultonemerged out of the toppled carriage only AFTER the fight was over…
We arrived to a large mansion at the top of a steep and windy road. The room was filled with dancers, food and drinks. We looked around and tried to investigate Avacyn's disappearance and what this Masquerade could possibly be.
We were all welcomed by Olivia Voldaren and Edgar Markov, the hosts of this grand party. Edgar Markovgave us a strange speech about his grandson’s betrayal in creating Avacynto spite ‘them’ but not to worry as she is trapped away and not a problem.
Olivia Voldarenthen announced a contest to see who would win the honor of being the King or Queen for the day. We all tried and Coultonwon the honor to hand out by Olivia Voldaren's side for the evening and drink. Nefiran off and Sorinstayed in a dark corner of the room, staring at Edgar Markov.
We searched around and faced some animated objects protecting a chest in Olivia Voldaren's room. We found a strange letter written to the town from Edgar Markovtelling them to make sure/force the new people who are being summoned make it to the Masquerade and that this event is to protect the town.
We made it into a basement where we found Nefi's dead body. and several other bodies around what looked like a ritual circle. We found a wailing ghost who we spoke to and we learned that she was Sorin's mother and daughter to Edgar Markov. She revealed to us that Edgar Markovhad trapped Avacynin the Helvaultand the only way to free her was to break it open.
The dinner bells rang summoning everyone to the main room for a speech from Olivia Voldaren. She thanked us for being here and asked our King Coultonto say a few words.

Outside the church, we found a large magical obelisk in the cemetery which Sorin broke open to free Avacyn.
Hundreds of demon sprouted out of the Helvaultalong with Avacynherself.
