The festival is a lovely occasion. Everyone spends time dancing, eating and chatting and the dusk turns to night.
The the moon draws nearer in the sky, Granny Nix stands up and says "it's time".
The groups separate into two:
Julia, Julius (The Js), Betty, Gregory, Lady Si, Arlinn, and the children go to protect the kids in the bunkhouse.
Granny Nix, George, Bryce, and the party stay at the campfire to protect Granny Nix and activate the wards.
Granny sends the children off with a "Time for bed Dearies, and remember, no peeking!"
Daisy gives Tom her horn of silent alarm.

Daisy is very on edge about this whole situation. the lady is creepy. She's worried about her children. creepy old lady!!
Malatesh feels vulnerable after his festival dance. Could this be the start of him being open in front of everyone?
Gafilimore feels better sharing his predicament with the party. Hoping in this time of need, they will help him.
Also has been a while since he has slayed evil in the name of good. Ready for it! (side note: Absolutely loves Granny Nix)!!!
Harrick is his usual cool as a cucumber. As things gets underway, he will issue a quiet prayer to Fharlanghn. 'Vigilance' and trust that he will be shown the way. He trust his party to keep each other safe.
Feran looking at everyone else. Wonders out loud if anyone here doesn't have darkvision (Daisy). Watching the outside perimeter for movement.
Feran notices wolves pop out of the treeline snarling and ready to attack. Feran reacts quickly and strongly at the first wolf he sees.
Combat ensues.
On Gafilimore's turn, he is ready to attack but is overcome with an intense pain. It feels as though his body is being torn in two. As Gafilimore is wracked with pain, his symbol to Torm suddenly heats up and Gafilimore feels his gods protective warmth flow through him soothing the pain. "Something is definitely wrong with me!"
All the attacks.
When the party looks over at Granny Nix, she is just standing there by the bonfire watching, not moving, not casting, nothing.
Some members of the party are annoyed by that.
Malatesh realizes that the werewolf in front of him is much larger than all the others and over the course of the fight, notices that the Loup Garou is continually healing on it's turn.
Gafilimore is once again ready to attack this time but fails to keep at bay whatever is inside. In wonderful Van Helsing fashion Gafilimore turns into a werewolf over the course of the round, much to the shock of the wolf in front of him.
Good boy George the wolf selflessly defends Daisy and Harrick from creatures even trying to go one on one with Loup Garou.
Bryce is enjoying the fight too much. Fueled by the sausages.
Granny Nix finally starts moving and grabs a dead wolf. Dips her hands into it's blood and start chanting.
Using the blood, she creates the first ward and then moves on to the next dead wolf in sight.
Gafilimore manages to keep hold of his human self's mind for just a moment after the transformation. Remembering the potions that Lady Si gave each party member, he quickly drinks the potion and immediately repeats his transformation over the course of the next round back to human.
One of the werewolves notices Granny Nix and tries to attack but Granny Nix casts a large hypnotic trance over several of the wolves. (Sorry Bryce).
Party comes to defend her.
Feran summons aid in the form of two Dire Wolves "North Wolf " and "South Wolf".
She continues casting her ward with the next dead wolf's blood which breaks her concentration on the trance.
Bit by bit, the party works their way through the wolves, werewolves and Loup Garou. The Loup Garou just never seems to weaken.
Granny Nix works her way down past Feran's Dire Wolves to get to the dead wolf for the last
South Wolf reacts and bites Granny Nix! The party is STUNNED.
While Granny does not react from this, Feran does notice the glare she gives him.
Before Granny can respond, Gafilimore races over to her defense and fights off the wolf, snapping it back to reality.
Feran is suspicious.
As Granny Nix starts the cast for the final blood ward, the party manages to clear out all but the Loup Garou.
Bryce and George are not looking so well anymore. Malatesh is better now thanks to the heals and shields.
Bryce roars loudly and takes the killing blow, raising the Loup Garou's head high in the air!
Malatesth tries to take some Loup Garou blood which makes Bryce laugh and he just hands the head to him.
Granny Nix finishes the spell and a translucent barrier encompasses the town and fairegrounds. A soothing feelings washes over everyone.
Galifimore is worried about becoming a werewolf again. Asks for curse removal which Malatesth gives him .
Gafilimore yells at Feran about the granny attack.
Feran says it wasn't him. His wolves were disturbed. Something wasn't right with Granny.
Gafilimore worries about Granny. Gafilimore sees just n old lady covered in blood.
Granny says we should check the the children.
Malatesh asks Granny about blood magic. She offers him tea but only after we see the children.
Granny Nix is so tired and weak and frail.
Daisy notices how old.
Gafilimore protects. Feel how weak her hand holding is compared to her bear hugs. Malatesth helps.
Harrick checks on the Js. There are dead werewolves everywhere.
Betty the werewolf died in the attack. She protected the children.
All the children are safe. Part of the wall collapse from the fight.
Julia burst in tears and holds Granny. Granny tells her that she is proud of her. Julius helps get Granny home.
Julius offers the building in front of blacksmith for rooms for the party tonight.
Daisy checks on her kids.
Regina and Donnie, children of this town are huddled together with Tom and Sylvia. They've made friends.
"Can we sleep here tonight?" Daisy is a little hurt but tells them they will right down the street.
Daisy is in shock about them wanting to leave her like this.
"They grow out of their barrels so fast."
A single tear.
8 rooms available. Everyone gets their own room.
Gafillimore goes with the Js to Granny Nix's house.
She hugs the Js. She grandmother pinches Gafilimore on the cheek and then kisses him on the cheek and says he is her favorite.
Gafilimore cast lay on hands on her. Her rosy cheeks come back but she still looks old and tired.
Gafilimore questions the twins about the aging.
the Js say that it happens after the wards go back up. They just need to give her a day or so to rest.
Gafilimore asks about blood and explains what happened at the fairegrounds.
The Js don't really understand why Granny would be dealing in blood. But villagers don't protect granny normally so they don't see what happens. Normally, it's the wolves who protect her.
They love her but they are confused about the blood thing.
Gafilimore goes back to the party and explains about what he learned. Also reminding them that he does love her.
Malatesth says he thinks spending more time with her is appropriate.
The villagers trust her a lot. Don't share your discomfort. But we can investigate stealthily.
Daisy says to break into her house. Shocked Faces!
Harrick says for them to follow up with Lady Si and Arlinn. Whatever is happening here could implicate them as well.
The party has been pretty trusting.
Malatesth tries to stop Daisy with "haste does make waste" . Daisy is ANNOYED.(short lived friendship again)
Feran agrees with Daisy about searching Granny's house tonight while she is tired and weak.
It's 2am right now.
Torm will not approve. Gafilimore does not approve! Gafilimore goes to bed. Can't do it to Torm or Granny.
Malatesh mind links and says ' Gaf, i'll keep an eye out"
They are arguing continually in the middle of the night, in the building next to the blacksmith.
Julia smashes in and yells 'will you go the FUCK to sleep'. Harrick casts calm emotions. She turns around and goes to bed.
Daisy counts the children. 14 including Tom and Sylvie.
Harrick, Daisy and Feran and Malatesh go to spy on Granny. Malatesh giving live updates to Gafilimore.
Harrick tries to lightly defend Granny Nix , reminding the party about the lengths they would go to protect loved ones.
Harrick is ready to make her sleep. Not sure if she would work.
