TL;DR

  • Avacyn continues to act strangely and be overly violent and ruthless.
  • It's raining a lot in Gavony
  • There is something demonic in the ocean off the coast of Unknown. Ships not coming back.
  •  Inquisitor Dee highlights a couple interesting locations on her map of Nephalia :

  • Morkrog narrows down the potiential location of the Black Crystal.
  • Inquisitor Dee leaves the party to help some weary travelers. Leaving behind a Thalia's Sending Stone to Harrick
  • Daisy finds a secret entrance to a volcanic mountain.
  • The party saves a bound human sacrifice and leaves them a note to exit the cave.
  • Morkrog meets some impish creatures who are sacrificing humans in order to summon their patron god.
    • Morkrog manages to convince the two impish creatures Zeeg and Prac to do his bidding and search the cave for the Black Crystal
    • They are worried about a 'witch' living in these caves.
  • The party loses sight of the impish creatures but find a fascinating room.
  • Another earthquake shakes the earth.

The party continues exploring the Cultist Cave 

Inquisitor Dee updates the party on what Thalia told her before the leftover cultists attacked:


  • Vorigan returns to the prison guard cultist and finds a corpse where once laid a passed out cultist.
    • The body has been eaten partially. mostly chewed and slobbered. All the teeth are missing. Left ring finger and right thumb missing. The uniform has been torn at the armpits and the skin is bare.
    • Vorigan animates the dead body. Zombie for 24 hours.
      • Morkrog requests a few toes as a snack for his imp.
    • Harrick, Daisy and Inquisitor Dee are fairly disturbed by their new companions.
  • The party learns that Vorigan is from this plane but Morkrog is not. Morkrog is not ready to share where he is from however.
  • The party finds more potatoes along with a workshop dedicated to creating Griselbrand paraphernalia.
    • The party bonds over smashing the statues to pieces.

  • Morkrog left a mark at the location of the Black Crystal.
    • He should be able to feel a connection to it.
    • Morkrog points to the volcanic mountain nearest to the party's current location.
  • The party decides to head to Havengul first and get their bearings before heading into the volcanic mountains.
    • On the road there, they run into two travelers with a broken wagon. Unknown and Abbie Barnett
      • Unknown is very emotional. Fears that the broken wagon is a sign that they are making a mistake trying to run away to Gavony.
      • Harrick is always ready to help weary travelers follow the open road.
      • They were hoping to leave Unknown behind and go to the High City of Thraben to pray to Avacyn and make a new life for themselves.
      • Heartbroken after the disappearance at sea of Abbie Barnett's brother Emmitt Hennessy.
        • Something evil is in the waters. Several ships from Unknown have not been returning and broken ship pieces have washed up along the shore.
      • Harrick fixes the wagon and writes a note to Thalia to help the travelers have a better chance in the High City of Thraben
      • Inquisitor Dee doesn't feel comfortable having them cross the treacherous mountains to Gavony alone.
    • It should take about 2 day to get to Gavony from this location between Cultist Cave and Unknown and another 2 days to get from the edge of Gavony to the High City of Thraben.
  • The party changes their mind and decides to peak at the volcanic mountains before heading to Unknown
    • While there is a light path up and around the volcanic mountain but Daisy finds a hidden path into the mountain.
    • Harrick leads the party through the cave system until strange screeching voices are heard chattering.
      • Strange impish demon creatures along a pool of lava with a bound Human by their side. Zeeg and Prac
      • Morkrog deceives them into thinking he is with their cult.
        • Learns that they have been sacrificing humans for their patron so that "SHE" may come through to this plane. More blood is needed to power the crystal and to allow HER entry.
        • Morkrog convinces the creatures to search for the Black Crystal with a mark in front of it and return to him asap with its location.
        • The creatures Zeeg and Prac are nervous about running into the witch deeper in the cave systems but are convinced to carry out this mission.
      • Harrick and Daisy free the bound human and while they are alive, they are currently unconscious. 
        • Harrick leaves the human on his bedroll, free from his binds and leaves a note with the way out of this cavern system.
          • Daisy slips a gold coin into their pocket
    • The group tries to follow the two impish creatures through the cavern system but gets lost with all the turns and paths.
      • Harrick is successfully memorizing the path they took to get there.
    • As the party realizes they may be going the wrong way, they notice a strong light coming from further down the path they were heading.
      • Morkrog summons his imp to find the other imps. Tell the imp that he needs the name of witch and the name of the person the impish creatures (Zeeg and Prac) are trying to summon. "we totally 'sacrificed that person'".
        • Morkrog's imp has thick black veins along its arms now from whatever potion Morkrog had it drink from the Cultist Cave. Thankfully not in pain anymore.
      • Daisy and Morkrog share information on the Blood Witch Lyzolda and how The Genesis Stones seem to need blood for the power or something. 
  • As the party heads forward to see what is in the room up ahead, another powerful earthquake shakes around them, causing cracks in the ground and throughout the mountain.
