Touted as one of the most holy places in the Region of Barovia, this Vallaki is said to be hallowed, consecrated ground and stands protected from many of the great evils in the land. The slouching, centuries-old stone exterior has a bulging steeple in the back and walls lined with cracked, stained-glass windows depicting pious saints. A fence of wrought iron encloses a garden of gravestones and crypts next to the church. A thin mist creeps among the graves. The church is run with the guidance of Father Lucian Petrovich and his assistant, Yeska.
