After following the Will-o'-Wisp to a small standing stone, the group is able to make out some old, faded symbols etched into the stone long ago. The carving bears a drawing of a stick-figure woman with wings and a third eye standing over a primitive drawing of a tree.
They continued following the river down until they reached a clearing and Tser Pool Encampment. After some reluctance, the group joined the Vistani in the festivities being held at the camp for a day of food, wine, music, and merriment.
While there, they spoke to the Vistani some more about the nature of the Mists and how only they could walk them. When asked for an explanation, an elder named Stanimir told the group a story passed down from the Vistani for centuries. He told the story of The Vistani Debt. A debt owed to them by a mysterious prince they aided in their travels. They were also told the story of a wizard that gathered a resistance in Barovia against Strahd, yet all perished or disappeared after attacking the castle.
The party was then finally given a Tarokka reading my Madam Eva that told of the group's Threads of Fate and a possible way out of Barovia by going through Strahd himself.
After settling in for the night, they were told a scary story then went to sleep. If for only a moment, the party was able to escape the horrors of Barovia around them. After waking up refreshed and at level 4, the group is ready to depart again towards Vallaki.
