Caleb, Wagner, and Iolas ended up being trapped by the 3 ladies of Durst Mill in small cages. In order to be freed and spared their lives, they had to enter deals with these women in exchange for assisting them in their expanding "Dream Pastry" business. Right away, they headed to find some shops. After easily finding the Town Square the party noticed a few men, women, and children locked in stocks with crude plaster donkey heads as punishment. They also took a few posters for the town festivals, an activity deemed mandatory by the Burgomaster to anyone within the town during the starting time. The next festival was found to be the Festival of the Blazing Sun, which would begin in 4 days time on the 10th of Huntersmoon.
Iolas wandered into Third Eye Potions and Sundries desperate to find a cure for the group's ailments, but was unsuccessful. Wagner led a group to the Dusklight Supply Shop, a general goods store with a rather vacant owner. He tried to get information on selling wares in the market, only to be directed - to the market. The rest of the group ended up at Blinsky Toys, the renowned toy and tinker shop in Barovia. Domitrius purchased a toy for Arabelle and Caryll inquired about possible upgrades to his weapon. The curious shopkeep, Gadof Blinsky, was more than happy to be involved in any chance at business and conversation about him or his pet monkey Piccolo.
