The Confederation of Konratopia is a confederational republic located in Central Asia, owning much of what used to be the Central Asian SSRs. The country declared independence in the wake of the Treaty of Versailles, and its independence was recognised by most of its neighbours except the USSR, though the Treaty forced them to yield. During the interwar era, NKVD infiltrators successfully managed to unite Konratopia's leading tribal households into a left-wing big tent government. Nowadays, it is ruled by Ikramullah Turtughi, a former Konratopian Federal Army officer turned dictator.

Konratopia isn't truly centralised. Though its administrative and industrial capital is Tashkent in the Autonomous Republic of Uzbekistan, tribal groups are the real power brokers in the country. The Army seems to be the only force loyal to the capital.
