The Australian Giant Isopod is unique amongst its family in the rest of the world: instead of living in cold, deep waters it lurks through the rough terrain of the Great Barrier Reef and other areas around Oceanyka's coast. It is much larger than its relatives at an average of 42cm long and 2.3kg heavy. Its diet is that of an omnivore scavenger. Australian Giant Isopods are excellent at hiding and camouflage, concealing their large figure between corals or rock formations.
