The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15 is a Soviet swept-wing jet fighter. Its high thrust-to-weight ratio enabled it to reach around Mach 0.9, making it faster than most contemporary jet fighters. The most common variant is the MiG-15bis, a more mature and developed design than the original. Armed with autocannons and rockets, the MiG-15 demonstrated impressive firepower, while its agility and climb rate made it a formidable adversary in aerial combat. Its first combat trial was during The Korean War, where it clashed with American and United Nations forces.
