The Su-7 is a Soviet jet aircraft which was originally designed as a low altitude air-to-air fighter. It was miserably unsuccessful in this task. A year after its introduction, in 1960, it was reworked as the Su-7B fighter-bomber, a dedicated ground-attack aircraft. During the mid-1960s, it would become the primary Soviet aircraft of this role. Some have made their way to Oceanyka through the Soviet Air Force itself.
