Zulu-class Unidentified Creatures, better known in Oceanykan folklore as Leviathans, are enormous eldritch creatures whose average weight is estimated at 240 tons. They possess a somewhat humanlike face, two long arms useful for grasping, massive claws of an unknown nigh-indestructible substance (capable of tearing through tank armour) and their flesh appears to be in a constant cycle of decay and regeneration (emitting a foul odour). Many tentacles pour out of their long, cylindric body, which the creature can operate with finesse. Their primary reason for existence seems to be consuming animal life, gravitating towards human settlements (where their prey concentrates). Most of the time they remain underground, roaming the extensive Underdown, from which they climb up to find prey. Their physical resilience is unmatched. A modern cannon's APFSDS shot will usually be unable to penetrate the skull. Furthermore, they are adept psychics, and will bend reality around them to their will. Two encounters have been recorded: one in the "Oceanykan Middle Ages" (supposedly a great demon slayed by the Son of Aster) and one in 1962, which was destroyed through the use of a small nuclear bomb.

Seismological studies conducted in 1963 reveal at least five Leviathans currently living underground. It is estimated over 20 could exist in the entire landmass of Australia, although any presence in New Zealand or Indonesia is currently being debated.
